Parent Verdict

The original classic holds up as one of the best family adventure films — blaster battles are bloodless, though burned skeletons of Luke's aunt and uncle and a severed arm in the cantina are brief shocks. An entire planet is destroyed, discussed but not dwelt upon. Wonderful from about age 7.
